• Cooking Instructions – Kainaat Basmati Extra Long Rice

  1. Rinse:
  Measure the desired amount of rice and rinse it gently in cold water 2–3 times to remove excess starch.

  2. Soak:
  Soak the rice in cold water for 20–30 minutes. This helps the grains expand fully and cook evenly.

  3. Cook (Two Methods):

  a) Boiling Method:

  • Bring plenty of water to a boil (use about 4 cups of water for every 1 cup of rice).

  • Add the soaked rice and cook uncovered for 8–10 minutes or until the grains are tender but not broken.

  • Drain and let it rest for 2–3 minutes before serving.

  b) Absorption Method:

  • Add 1 cup of rice and 1.5 to 2 cups of water to a saucepan.

  • Add a little salt and oil or butter (optional).

  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover with a tight lid, and simmer for 10–12 minutes.

  • Turn off the heat and let it stand covered for 5 minutes. Fluff gently with a fork before serving.

  Serving Suggestion:
  Perfect for Biryani, Pulao, Fried Rice, or as a side with curries and grilled dishes.
